1-3 Science Life Cycles

Week 1 and 2 ONLY- July 9-18


Do you have a child who loves to be outdoors? A kiddo who wants all of their questions answered? If this sounds like your child, sign them up for Science Sessions.


We will fill their curiosity by growing plants in different settings to determine what a plant needs to grow successfully. 

We will also discuss different life cycles of insects, plants, mammals, and more. In addition, we will create cute crafts and perform fun experiments related to each topic.

1-3 Mindfulness/Growth Mindset
Location- Larry J. Macaluso Elementary School
Week 1 and 2 ONLY- July 9-18


Expressing emotions, building confidence, and communicating feelings can be hard to navigate. Let’s have fun playing games and participating in other exciting activities while we learn about mindfulness and growth mindset. Students will learn how mindfulness and growth mindset impacts their lives inside and outside the classroom. This will help students be more motivated and confident. It will also help them to communicate, regulate, and cope with big emotions. We will read stories, do some journaling, and participate in lots of fun games and activities!

1-3 STEAM at the Beach

Welcome to Beach Buddies STEAM Camp, where young explorers from kindergarten through second grade dive into a thrilling seaside adventure filled with STEAM activities and physical education games! Nestled along the sandy shores and glistening waves, our camp provides a perfect blend of learning, creativity, and fun in the sun. Join us for a summer filled with waves of fun and discovery! 


Session is open to 30 participants.

1-2 Art
Location- Larry J. Macaluso Elementary School
Week 1 and 2 ONLY- July 9-18


Do you have a child who LOVES art or would like to become more comfortable embracing their artistic side?  Join us as we explore with various materials such as crayons, paint, colored pencils, oil pastels, and more.  During our art-making activities, your  child will not only gain confidence and enjoy embracing their artistic abilities but will also strengthen their fine motor skills as well.  Each activity or project will be tied to a theme and accompanied with a read aloud to help foster a love of reading, as well as; highlight a famous artist.

3-4 Olympian Learning
Location- Larry J. Macaluso Elementary School
Week 1 and 2 ONLY- July 9-18


In honor of the Summer Olympics, we will be taking a trip back in time to the very FIRST Olympic games!  Just as in the Magic Treehouse Series: Hour of the Olympics, we will immerse ourselves in the ways of the Ancient Romans. As a group we will read Hour of the Olympics, and research the Ancient Romans, all leading up to our BIG EVENT! During the final week we will hold our very own Olympic games, paying homage to where it all began!

3-6 Coping Skills and Self-Regulation

Week 1 and 2 ONLY- July 9-18


AHHHHH!! I am so ANGRY!!! Yelling, and screaming follow after….  Sound familiar?  


Sometimes coping with our emotions can be a difficult task.  This course will be a fun interactive class that will teach students how to identify, understand, and cope with their feelings.  We will do fun activities and games to help reduce stress, anxiety, and anger.  Journaling, stretching, drawing, painting, reading, and playing games will be some of the ways we learn how to cope with some difficult emotions.

3-5 Ancient Civilizations

3-6 The Human Body

Have you ever wondered how your body works? What happens when we eat food? Why do we get sick? How does our brain control our whole body? Then this is the course for you. We will be exploring the systems of the human body to explore what’s happening behind the scenes.

5-8 STEM- Rocketry and Aviation
Location- Red Lion Area Junior High
Weeks 1, 2, and 3- July 9-27


Learn about the forces of flight by making hands-on projects that soar and glide. We’ll explore the history of flight while creating projects and doing experiments that will make the learning come to life! We will also look to the future of space exploration with a special focus on the Artemis program.

5-8 Fashion Design and Skills
Location- Red Lion Area Senior High
Weeks 1, 2, and 3- July 9-27


Want to learn: How to transform a drawing of a garment into your new summer outfit? 

Join me as we work through a series of small projects that will give you the skills and tools needed to create your unique final outfit.

These projects will explore the 4 major steps in the creative process of Apparel Design: 

By the session’s end you will have several accessories and a unique outfit to model at our end of the session Fashion Show. 

So if you want to learn different ways to dye fabric, how to sew, make a pattern and draw like a Fashion  Designer this is the Summer adventure for you.
