Incoming Kindergarten Camp
Location- Larry J. Macaluso Elementary School


Is your child nervous about starting kindergarten this year? Did they not have the chance to attend preschool? These days will be a brief introduction to what school will be like for them, with a lot of fun mixed in! Stories, crafts, games and more! We will learn what it means to have Red Lion PRIDE and how to show that PRIDE in the classroom.

1-2 Camp Learn-A-Lot
Location- Larry J. Macaluso Elementary School


Welcome Campers! Join our “happy camper” classroom for some good old fashioned camping fun, with a definite tie to reading and writing! Some activities will include making literacy snacks and writing about those food items, readers theater, fishing for words, poetry, crafts, and flashlight reading in “tents”! These are just a few of the activities we have planned for your summer. You will surely leave a happy camper! 


Session is open to 30 participants.

1-3 Science Life Cycles
Location- Larry J. Macaluso Elementary School


Do you have a child who loves to be outdoors? A kiddo who wants all of their questions answered? If this sounds like your child, sign them up for Science Sessions.


We will fill their curiosity by growing plants in different settings to determine what a plant needs to grow successfully. 

We will also discuss different life cycles of insects, plants, mammals, and more. In addition, we will create cute crafts and perform fun experiments related to each topic.

1-2 Art
Location- Larry J. Macaluso Elementary School


Do you have a child who LOVES art or would like to become more comfortable embracing their artistic side?  Join us as we explore with various materials such as crayons, paint, colored pencils, oil pastels, and more.  During our art-making activities, your  child will not only gain confidence and enjoy embracing their artistic abilities but will also strengthen their fine motor skills as well.  Each activity or project will be tied to a theme and accompanied with a read aloud to help foster a love of reading, as well as; highlight a famous artist.

1-3 STEAM at the Beach
Location- Larry J. Macaluso Elementary School


Welcome to Beach Buddies STEAM Camp, where young explorers from kindergarten through second grade dive into a thrilling seaside adventure filled with STEAM activities and physical education games! Nestled along the sandy shores and glistening waves, our camp provides a perfect blend of learning, creativity, and fun in the sun. Join us for a summer filled with waves of fun and discovery!

3-4 Natural Disasters and STEAM

3-4 Olympian Learning
Location- Larry J. Macaluso Elementary School


In honor of the Summer Olympics, we will be taking a trip back in time to the very FIRST Olympic games!  Just as in the Magic Treehouse Series: Hour of the Olympics, we will immerse ourselves in the ways of the Ancient Romans. As a group we will read Hour of the Olympics, and research the Ancient Romans, all leading up to our BIG EVENT! During the final week we will hold our very own Olympic games, paying homage to where it all began!

3-6 Theater

Lights! Camera! Action! Students in grades 3-6 can experience what it is like to be a real performer. We will work on many parts of what it is like to be in a play, including set design, costumes, and putting on a real presentation on our last day!

3-6 Learning with Legos
Location- Larry J. Macaluso Elementary School


Legos are fun to play with, but they can also be educational. In this class, students will use critical thinking and problem-solving skills as they build with Legos. They will apply science and math concepts, as well as computer coding, through the activities they do in each session.

3-6 Growth Mindset
Location- Larry J. Macaluso Elementary School


Games are both fun and educational.  We will use them to learn about growth mindset.  This course will help participants gain confidence and motivation to be a successful student.  We will read stories, do some journaling, and play lots of games.  This course will be interactive and FUN!

6-12 Summer STEM Series: Circuits and Coding
Location- Larry J. Macaluso Elementary School


Interested in learning how electrical circuits and computer code work together? Find out in this introductory course! No prior experience necessary. Using Snap Circuits, micro:bits, and “30 Days Lost in Space” kits, you and a partner will explore both hardware and software. You’ll also learn to make virtual programmable circuits using TinkerCAD and use Microsoft MakeCode to create your own retro-style video games!
